EAST SURREY LOCAL RSPB GROUP AREA  |
Our Group covers roughly the area in the above map (click on map for large version), going east to west from the Kent border to Reigate and from the Greater London border in the north to Felbridge in the south. Interesting birding sites in our area worth a visit are marked as GREEN dots. East Surrey doesn't have a coastline or any reservoirs unfortunately, but still manages to attract a good selection of birds, common and rare! We hold Evening Meetings at the White Hart Barn (Village Hall) in Godstone. Go south on the A22, immediately past the White Hart on the left, opposite the Village Green (use this car park). Field Trips (mostly car, occasionally coach - please book coach trips in advance!) start by meeting in the car park on Godstone Green, opposite the White Hart Barn. Other meeting points may be necessary for special trips and will be advised ahead of the event at the previous evening meeting. Everyone is welcome to any event, RSPB member or not. No membership fee to join our group but there is an entrance fee for the evening meetings; field trips by car are free (except for sharing petrol expenses as necessary); coach trip charges cover the hire of the coach.
