The mouth of Shoreham harbour can be good for turnstone and the
occasional purple sandpiper, also occasionally white-winged gulls
in the middle of winter.

Sept:
Wolfe Weekend at Squerryes in Westerham. We had two good days at
this 250th anniversary of the Battle for Quebec, including seeing
the re-enactment of the battle on the Heights of Abraham in Canada!

Sept field trip:
A quiet trip but had good views of raven, wheatear, butterflies and
an early short-eared owl which must have just come in off the sea.
